Downen Creative Studios Beverly (Downen Creative Studios) has been part of the cosplay and maker community for over 12 years. Originally from Vermont and now based in the Pacific Northwest, she’s a cosplayer and author known for her work with EVA foam, transforming it into everything from detailed costume pieces to a wide range of creative builds. Her work has included collaborations with companies such as Marvel, Worbla, Smooth-On, Siser, Surebonder, and Plasti Dip. She is also the author of The Cosplayer’s Ultimate Guide to EVA Foam and has taught workshops across the country focused on making these skills approachable, practical, and fun! In 2018, she founded SheProp, a community supporting female, non-binary, and transgender makers in cosplay. She has also appeared multiple times on Adam Savage’s Tested and was featured in the docuseries Alter Egos on Amazon Video.
