This idol showcase is a non-competitive performance featuring cosplayers from idol fandoms of all genres.
Groups will practice and audition to perform for a live audience, and typically involves dancing and sometimes singing. Idol showcases are a way to pay tribute to Japanese idol culture and promote a positive community within the idoling/cosplay scene!
Attendees should expect a very interactive experience with lots of shouts, cheers, and penlights! The audience will get to see all sorts of different idol franchises, from Love Live to Ensemble Stars, and maybe even a Kaigai (or overseas) idol! Music can range from heavy metal all the way to sweet and calm piano! The range is simply endless! Make sure to bring your penlight/lightstick and a supporting shout!
Quick Rules:
• 4 minute max per performance (HARD MAX)
• Must send in a video application of any dance but would prefer dance you plan on performing
• Applications end August 15th
• Live Vocals and original idols are okay!
• Idols under the age of 18 needs to have a guardian sign a permission slip
• Cosplay isn’t necessary but encouraged
• Applicants must apply with the dance they are performing
